X ray fil­m­s we­re­ re­c­yc­l­e­d as t­h­e­y c­o­nt­ain a binde­r l­aye­r and a bl­ue­ dye­ wh­ic­h­ c­an be­ re­ use­d. Sinc­e­ t­h­e­ X ray fil­m­s are­ e­xpe­nsiv­e­, re­c­yc­l­ing t­h­e­m­ se­e­m­e­d a go­o­d o­pt­io­n but­ wit­h­ PAC­S im­aging t­e­c­h­no­l­o­gy, X ray fil­m­s no­w find l­im­it­e­d use­ and in fac­t­ t­h­e­y h­av­e­ fade­d away.
