Up in the air
While up in the air the only mode of contact the pilot has with the ground is his headset which allows him to hear the ATC (air traffic controllers) voice and his microphone that enables him to converse with the ATC. The aviation GPS set helps him by allowing him to plot his course thus preventing him from straying from the desired path.
AVIATION HEADSETS
These are used by the pilot to keep in touch with the ATC and also to block out the engine sound which at sometimes is irritating and may distract him from his work. The aviation headset is specially designed keeping in mind the needs of the pilots. 1) They should fit properly around the ears. 2) They should block out unwanted sound and should have a microphone to communicate with the ATC And co-pilot.
The airplane GPS sets
These are also specially designed keeping in mind the needs of the pilot. They help the pilot plot his course and keep the plane on the right path to the respective destination. These sets come with various different functions like plotters, coordinate mapping and a host of other functions that help the plot if and when onboard instruments fail.
